The International Institute of Akron has announced an opening for a Director of Refugee Resettlement.
The International Institute of Akron is seeking a professional to lead a diverse staff who is responsible for the resettlement of New Americans in the Greater Akron community. This key leadership position requires organizational skills, successful management experience leading staff, development and compliance with government contracts and grants and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Creative focus on projects that assist New Americans successfully becoming self-sufficient in the Akron area.
Problem solving and the ability to integrate with many cultures is paramount. Experience developing and achieving performance measures is required. Experience working with volunteers and interns and developing collaborative relationships in the community to compliment and achieve the mission of the organization is needed. Must be a good teacher for staff and value customer service skills. Bachelor degree required; graduate degree preferred. Competitive salary and benefit package.
